Delhi Fire: Massive Blaze Breaks Out In Narela A Day After Fire Killed 9

The firemen, after getting first aid were back on duty. No injuries or casualties have been reported so far and the DFS said that no one was trapped inside the factory.

A massive broke out at a shoe factory in Outer Delhi's Narela industrial area on Tuesday after a cylinder blast, the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) said.

New Delhi: A massive broke out at a shoe factory in Outer Delhi's Narela industrial area on Tuesday after a cylinder blast, the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) said. Delhi Fire Service official said a call was received by them about the blaze at 4.52 am and 22 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. "Twenty two fire tenders have been rushed to the spot, however, during the bid to douse fire, three fireman got minor injuries," the DFS chief Atul Garg said. The firemen, after getting first aid were back on duty. No injuries or casualties have been reported so far and the DFS said that no one was trapped inside the factory.

This comes a day after nine people, including three children, were killed in a blaze that ripped through a three-storey building, the ground floor of which was being used as a clothes godown, in Outer Delhi's Kirari area on Monday, the Delhi Fire Services said. The Delhi government on Monday announced Rs 10 lakh compensation to the next of kin of the Kirari fire victims. Delhi Home Minister Satyendar Jain announced Rs 1 lakh compensation for the injured and that the government would bear the expenses of treatment of the injured. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said there should not be any lapses in the treatment of the injured.
