Sanjay Dutt Released A Superhit This Year, And It's Not One Of His Films

Sanjay Dutt, like most other actors nowadays, is trying his luck at other avenues of entrepreneurship. Here's what he has brought out this year.

Sanjay Dutt apparently had a pretty satisfying 2024 so far - and it has nothing to do with his films. The 'Munnabhai' actor's premium Scotch whisky label, The Glenwalk, has marked an impressive milestone, selling more than 50,000 cases — equivalent to 600,000 bottles — within the first seven months of the current financial year. The brand has carved a notable presence in India's competitive spirits market, currently operating across 10 states.

How Much Is Sanjay Dutt's Whiskey Priced At?

The Glenwalk Scotch is priced at Rs 1,599 per bottle (700 ml).

Which State Bought The Most Bottles?

Maharashtra emerges as the top contributor to sales, accounting for over 45 per cent, with Haryana and Uttar Pradesh following at 25 per cent and 20 per cent, respectively. The Glenwalk is presently available in key markets, including Maharashtra, Haryana, Goa, Daman and Diu, Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Madhya Pradesh. Plans are underway to extend its reach to five more states by the end of next month.

Sanjay Dutt, expressing his joy, remarked, “I’m thrilled to see the reception that The Glenwalk has received in just one year. It’s a testament to the brand’s quality and dedication. I’m confident The Glenwalk will continue setting new standards in the global spirits industry,” as quoted by the Economic Times.

The company has ambitious targets to amplify sales by 500 per cent, eyeing a total of 300,000 cases while expanding operations to over 18 states and five international markets. In response to consumer demand, The Glenwalk introduced larger 1-litre bottles in October 2024 and is set to roll out compact 200ml nips in November, aiming to cater to varied preferences and significantly boost its market footprint.

Mokksh Sani, Founder of Living Liquidz and Co-founder of Cartel Bros, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “It’s incredibly gratifying to witness The Glenwalk’s rapid ascent in such a short span. This achievement reflects the relentless efforts of our team and the support of our consumers. We are excited to expand and solidify The Glenwalk’s position as a global spirits brand.”

The brand credits its rapid growth to its combination of premium quality and affordability, backed by strategic marketing and robust distribution networks. Recent industry recognition has further validated its growing reputation.

With an eye on both domestic and international expansion, The Glenwalk is poised for significant growth, aiming to redefine the premium Scotch whisky segment in the years ahead.
