'Patni Naraz Hai': Newly Married UP Police Constable's Leave Application Goes Viral

The constable made a request to the Superintendent of Police, explaining that he needs time away from work because his wife is not speaking to him when he is on call

A police constable from Uttar Pradesh's Maharajganj is getting a lot of attention on social media. A leave request submitted by him to is boss has gone viral on the internet.

The constable made an emotional request to the Superintendent of Police, explaining that he needs time away from work because his wife is not speaking to him when he is on call as they haven't got much time to spend together. He also mentioned in his leave application that he has promised his wife that he will come home for his nephew’s birthday

The constable left his wife at home after “Biddai” and reported for duty. Thereafter, he did not take any time off due to which his wife was not happy, the application further read, as reported by India Today. He also said that his wife did not take his calls and  transferred it to his mother.

A photo of the leave application, signed by the Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Chaudhary, has also emerged on social media, 

"Nivedan hai ki prarthi ka pichle mahine gauna hua hai. Samay se chutti nahi milne ke karan prarthi ki patni naraz ho jaa rahi hai aur phone karne par phone turant bina baat kiye mata ji ko de de rahi hai," he wrote in his leave application.

On receiving the leave application, the Additional Superintendent of Police approved five days of casual leave for the constable from 10 January.
