Mark Zuckerberg Launches Twitter Competitor Threads, Users React With Hilarious Memes
According to Meta CEO and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, the platform has attracted over two million users in a matter of few hours.
The Facebook parent company, Meta finally rolled out Instagram threads - a text-based conversation app that looks similar to Twitter - for both iOS and Android on Wednesday. The app offers users the facility to share texts, links, and engage in conversations by replying to or reposting messages from fellow users. Although the app is brand new, existing Instagram users need not set up fresh login and password, rather they can use thier Instagram usernames on Threads.
According to Meta CEO and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, the platform has attracted over two million users in a matter of few hours.
Zuckerberg, who has been on the microblogging platform Twitter for over a decade also made his first tweet using an iconic Spiderman pointing to Spiderman meme, indirectly announcing the launch of Threads.
