WATCH: Jharkhand Cops Drink Liquor, Dance Inside Police Station On Holi, Suspended

They are also dancing to a folk song while one person has placed a glass of liquor on his head.

Security is always beefed up during festivals like Holi and Diwali to avoid any untoward incident during the celebrations. Police departments across the country prepare a security plan to ensure that the festival is celebrated peacefully. But five policemen in Jharkhand’s Godda district were found drinking liquor and dancing while celebrating Holi inside the Mahagama police station.

All five policemen were suspended by the Godda Superintendent of Police Nathu Singh Meena  on Thursday. The decision was taken after a video of the policemen drinking liquor and dancing inside the police station went viral on social media platforms.

In the video, a few cops can be seen smeared in Holi colours and drinking liquor. They are also dancing to a folk song while one person has placed a glass of liquor on his head. Surprisingly, one of them is seen celebrating the festival in uniform.

The suspended cops include two ASIs and three constables. A departmental enquiry has also been ordered into the case by the Godda Superintendent of Police.

On seeing the video on the microblogging site Twitter a user wrote, "It is a very serious matter. Action should be taken on all."

While one user differed and said, "isme kya galti h saheb? let them enjoy.after all everybody is human being. party kya sirf netao ke liye hai".

"Shouldn't be done on campus!", wrote a third.
