One of the most anticipated matches of the group stages in the Cricket Word Cup 2023 between arch rivals India and Pakistan came to an end at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday with India defeating Pakistan by 7 wickets. It was a comprehensible win for India as Pakistan only managed to put up a total of 191 runs on the board for India to chase. The victory is the eighth consecutive triumph of India over Pakistan in the World Cup, starting 1992.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma played a crucial role with his bat in India chasing down the total set by Pakistan. Sharma made a quickfire 50 of 36 balls and went on to score 86 runs in just 63 balls. Shreyas Iyer also made an unbeaten 53 runs.
