Expelled TRS Minister Eatala Rajender Joins BJP
Rajender was sacked from the TRS cabinet over the accusations of land-grabbing
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and former Health Minister for Telangana, Eatala Rajender joined BJP in the presence of BJP President JP Nadda and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday.

Rejender was a senior leader of TRS was there is the party since its inception. But, he was shunted out of the TRS cabinet over the accusations of land-grabbing. Rajender had earlier tendered his resignation as the Huzurabad MLA and has also relinquished his membership of the TRS.

When he was the health minister of the state, It was alleged that 100 acres of land which belonged to the backward class and scheduled tribe was illegally captured by the family member, who owned a hatchery. However, he had denied the allegations.
Rajender was one of the active participant of the Telangana movement and he called for separate Telangana statehood. He was the one of the founding members of the TRS party. He termed the allegations as to tarnish his image as a Telangana politician.
Countering to Rajender's joining BJP, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi took a dig at the part's situation in the state: "In Nagarjuna Sagar by-poll, BJP failed to save security deposit, lost in Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Mehabubnagar MLC elections. In Nalgonda, Warangal & Khammam MLC elections for graduates, it moved to 4th place. If you think these as good signs, you've lost it," Owaisi said.
