Covid Third Wave Ended In Telangana, Says Health Director Dr Srinivasa Rao
Srinivasa Rao said the home isolation kits provided by the government played a vital role in the Third Wave.
Hyderabad: State Public Health Director Dr Srinivasa Rao on Tuesday said that the third wave of the corona has ended in Telangana. He said IT offices no longer need a work-from-home. He also said there were no more restrictions in the state as the third wave ended in Telangana.
He said that the Third Wave started in January and peaked in the mid of month. The number of cases had been steadily declining since the third week of January. He reportedly said that the Third Wave is likely to end in ten days.
The state public health director said that the corona gripped the world in the form of three waves so far. He pointed out that the Test Positivity Rate in Telangana has come down to two per cent. The first wave is ten months, the second wave is six months, and the third is only three months.
Srinivasa Rao said the Covid third wave effect was more significant in urban areas than rural areas. The highest number of Covid cases were reported in urban areas.

Rao said Covid cases climbed to the peak in 18 days. He assured that there is no need to worry about new variants of Covid and other Covid waves because the government is prepared.
He said the fever survey would continue in the state even if the cases are reduced. Covid is likely to be considered as the common flu. The home isolation kits provided by the government played a vital role in the Third Wave.
