WhatsApp Payments Cashback: Paying Through WhatsApp? Here’s How Users Can Avail Rs 105 Cashback Offer

WhatsApp has introduced the cashback offer to encourage people to use WhatsApp Payments for transferring money.

New Delhi: Have you transferred money to friends, family and others using WhatsApp Payments? If yes, then there’s a cashback offer that selected users can avail of.  The payment feature on the popular Meta-owned messaging service has recently introduced a new Rs 105 cashback offer for users across the country. Under this facility, WhatsApp Payments will allow cashback of Rs 105 on the payment through WhatsApp.

In November 2020, WhatsApp was allowed by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) to expand its user base for WhatsApp Payments up to 100 million.

With several online payment companies using cashback offers to retain their existing users, WhatsApp has also introduced the offer to encourage people to use WhatsApp Payments for transferring money.

Here’s How To Avail Rs 105 Cashback Benefit

Firstly, update the WhatsApp app to the latest version on your smartphone.

Also, note that the transaction of a minimum of Re 1 is required. Remember that users won’t be awarded Rs 105 directly.

WhatsApp will offer a Rs 35 cashback for each time users make eligible transactions.

Users will be able to make payments directly by going to their chat window. The offer is valid for users only living in India.

The cashback will be offered to both android and IOS users.

Are there any eligibility criteria for users?

It has mentioned certain eligibility criteria for users who want to avail of the cashback on the payments service. Users have to be on WhatsApp user for at least 30 days and register for payments on the app by adding their bank account.

Remember, that the cashback can only be availed when sending funds to recipients who are also using WhatsApp Payments. Keep in mind that the Meta-owned messaging service stated that payments made when the gift icon is not visible (next to a recipient's name) will not be eligible for the cashback offer.

Also, note that QR code payments, payments on collect requests, payments made by entering a recipient's UPI ID, and payments to third-party app users will not be eligible for the cashback offer.
