TweetDeck To Be Available Only To Verified Users, Twitter Says

TweetDeck will now be available to verified users only, the company announced on Monday.

TweetDeck will now be available to verified users only, the company announced on Monday. The microblogging platform in a tweet informed that the company has launched a new, improved version of TweetDeck. The tool which was previosuly available for free allows users to organise the accounts that they follow into  different columns to easily monitor content. This tool is mostly popular with news organisations.

It includes a host of features to help get the most out of Twitter: Manage multiple Twitter accounts, schedule Tweets for posting in the future, build Tweet collections, and more.

The social media platform said in the tweet said that the new policy will come into effect in 30 days. The decision follows a series of drastic changes ordered by Elon Musk, which include requiring users to be logged in to the website in order to view tweets and limiting the number of tweets that can be viewed each day for unverified accounts to 600 and new unverified accounts to 300. The verified accounts can view upto 6,000 posts.

Meanwhile, Twitter users across countries on Saturday complained of facing issues accessing the micro-blogging website amid a buzz of a global outage. According to Down Detector, a website that tracks online service disruptions, thousands of users visited the micro-blogging website to discuss their experiences after the global outage hit Twitter.

When attempting to see or post a tweet, Twitteratis complained that they received the "Cannot retrieve tweets" error message. The stated outage, however, was not experienced by many users worldwide. Amongst the most reported problems, according to Downdetector, were 45 per cent in App, 40 per cent on the website and the remaining 15 per cent on the feed.
