ICMR Data Leak: Personal Info Of 81.5 Crore Indians On Sale
In what is perhaps the biggest data breach, information of more 81.5 crore citizens with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) are on sale on the dark web, which contains crucial information such as Aadhaar and passport details, along with names, phone numbers, and addresses, according to a report by News18. Given the severity of the matter, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is expected to probe the incident after the ICMR files a complaint. The data breach was discovered by the US-based cybersecurity and intelligence firm Resecurity that mentioned that "on October 9, a threat actor going by the alias ‘pwn0001’ posted a thread on Breach Forums brokering access to 815 million 'Indian Citizen Aadhaar and Passport' records".

Posts on X, formerly Twitter, which are corrected by users via Community Notes will become ineligible for ad revenue share, owner and tech billionaire Elon Musk has announced. Tweaking creator monetisation, he said that any posts that are corrected by Community Notes, that empowers people on X to add notes to posts that might be misleading, “become ineligible for revenue share”.

Dyson on Monday unveiled a new air purifier for Rs 39,900 in India. The new Dyson Purifier Cool Gen1 comes in white colour. New LG XBOOM Premium Party Speakers Unveiled
South Korean tech major LG Electronics has unveiled a new audio speaker series in India. Called LG XBOOM, the party speaers come with claimed enhanced battery life. The LG XBOOM includes two models -- XL7S and XL5S, which will be available at a starting price of Rs 54,990 and Rs 44,990, respectively. The LG XBOOM XL7S has a battery life of up to 20 hours, while the XL5S has a 12-hour battery life, and both speakers have an IPX4 Water Resistant rating that can withstand water splashes.
