Jio Customers Can Avail 100GB AI Cloud Storage For Free: Check Out Benefits

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced the offer during the company’s 47th Annual General Meeting in August 2024, aligns with Jio’s broader vision of “AI Everywhere for Everyone.”

Reliance Jio has started rolling out its Jio AI-Cloud Welcome Offer, providing up to 100GB of free AI-powered cloud storage to select users. The initiative also includes early access to advanced AI features, enhancing the user experience.

The offer, announced by Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani during the company’s 47th Annual General Meeting in August 2024, aligns with Jio’s broader vision of “AI Everywhere for Everyone.” Ambani introduced the JioBrain platform at the AGM, highlighting its comprehensive AI solutions and tools that cater to various industries and individuals.

Key Details of the Offer

Under the Welcome Offer, eligible users can securely store photos, videos, documents, and other digital content with free storage of up to 100GB. Jio promises additional storage at competitive prices for users needing more capacity. The service rollout began during Diwali 2024.

Early Access to AI Features

Jio has started notifying select users via SMS, inviting them to explore the new JioCloud platform. The message highlights key features such as AI Memories, AI Scanner, DigiLocker, and the expanded storage capacity. Some users report that the storage exceeds the 100GB limit initially promised.

The offer reflects Jio’s ambition to make cloud services as integral as internet connectivity, enabling users to manage and access digital content effortlessly.

Expansion in Media and Entertainment

In addition to the AI Cloud initiative, Reliance Industries has invested Rs 11,500 crore (approximately $1.4 billion) in a joint venture named JioStar with Viacom18 Media Private Limited and The Walt Disney Company. The collaboration aims to create groundbreaking opportunities in media and entertainment, further bolstering Reliance’s innovative portfolio.

This dual focus on AI-powered cloud services and media partnerships reinforces Reliance Jio's commitment to shaping the future of technology and connectivity in India.
