Delhi Metro Launches QR Ticket Booking Via Amazon Pay. How To Book

Delhi Metro (DMRC) commuters can now purchase QR code-based tickets through the Amazon Pay platform.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced a new digital ticketing option for its passengers. Delhi Metro commuters can now purchase QR code-based tickets through the Amazon Pay platform, offering an easier alternative to traditional ticketing methods, the company announced on Thursday. The process for buying these digital tickets is easy: Passengers can access the Delhi Metro QR ticket feature within the Amazon Pay section of the app.

This collaboration between DMRC and Amazon Pay is a significant step towards modernising public transportation in the national capital, which embraces digital solutions to improve efficiency and user convenience.

Users can then select their starting and ending stations, complete the payment, and instantly receive a QR code ticket on their mobile devices.

However, it is important to note that there are some limitations to this service. Users are restricted to purchasing a maximum of six single-journey tickets per account for any given route. Additionally, the current system does not support the option to book return tickets.
