Chennai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Bengaluru on Friday. The PM then flagged off Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express.
PM also inaugurated Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru and unveiled 108 feet bronze statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda in Bengaluru.

In a tweet, PMO said, “PM @narendramodi landed in Bengaluru a short while ago, where he was received by Governor @TCGEHLOT, CM @BSBommai, Minister @JoshiPralhad and other dignitaries as well as officials.”

The PM also paid floral tributes to statues of saint poet Kanakadasa and Maharishi Valmiki at Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru.
As a result of PM's visit traffic has been diverted in several places, the state suspended BMTC and KSRTC bus services from Majestic bus terminus from 10 am to 12 noon.
After his visit to Bengaluru, PM Modi is expected to fly to Tamil Nadu for attending the convocation ceremony of Gandhigram Rural Institute.
Later, PM Modi is scheduled to fly to Visakhapatnam to open ONGC's U field Onshore Deepwater block project in the state on Friday. He is also likely to lay the foundation stone for GAIL's Srikakulam Angul Natural Gas Pipeline project.
The PM is expected also lay the foundation for the AP section of the 6-lane GreenField Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor in Visakhapatnam. He is also expected to lay the foundation stone for Visakhapatnam Railway Station's redevelopment.

Later, PM is likely to fly to Telangana for the inauguration of a Fertilizer plant at Ramagundum. The foundation stone for the project was laid by PM in 2016. He will also dedicate Bhadrachalam Road- Sattupalli rail line to the nation. PM will also lay the foundation stone for Rs 2200 crore road projects.
