'I See A Lot Of Fear On CM's Face': TN BJP Chief After Stalin Challenges Shah Amid His Visit

Tamil Nadu BJP Chief has claimed that he can see 'a lot of fear' on CM Stalin's face' after the latter challenged Home Minister Amit Shah to share what the Centre did for TN in the last nine years.

Political face-off is on the cards as Union Home Minister Amit Shah reached Tamil Nadu late Saturday night after concluding his programmes in Gujarat and Maharashtra to mark the nine years of the Modi government at the Centre. The visit seems to have boosted the spirit of the Tamil Nadu BJP as the chief of the state party unit, K Annamalai, said that he can 'see a lot of fear' on Chief Minister MK Stalin's face. Responding to Stalin's comment about what the BJP did for the state in the last nine years, Annamalai said that the party will answer the same on Sunday and ask 'what he has done for Tamil Nadu in the last 2 years'.

Talking to ANI, Annamalai said, "I see a lot of fear on CM's face. Tomorrow we will answer all the questions of the CM and ask him what he has done for Tamil Nadu in the last 2 years. I hope he will answer our questions as well. The people of Tamil Nadu do not want DMK party to be in power and want Assembly elections to be preponed by 3 years so that Lok Sabha and Assembly elections can be held in 2024."

"Union Home Minister Amit Shah has come to Tamil Nadu today. He met very important people from Chennai who have made Tamil Nadu proud. They are non-political people. They gave feedback about our government... It is a very unfortunate incident that when the Home Minister came there was a power failure. Untimely power cuts are happening after the DMK govt came to power. I hope the state government will take it seriously and ensure that such incidents do not happen again," he added.

Notably, CM Stalin on Saturday said that the BJP might announce Parliament polls earlier due to the recent loss in Karnataka, adding "BJP's influence is reducing across the country...I am asking Union Home Minister Amit Shah to release a list of what the Union Government did for Tamil Nadu in the last 9 years."
