After Nabbing Mohd Nadeem, UP ATS Arrests JeM Terrorist Habibul Islam 'Saifullah' From Kanpur
According to UP Police ATS, Habibul Islam AKA 'Saifullah' admitted that he knew Nadeem, and both of them were linked to the same terror network Jaish-e-Muhammad.
New Delhi: Anti-terrorist squad of Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist Habibul Islam (19) aka Saifullah from Kanpur.
Previously, the ATS nabbed Mohd Nadeem from Saharanpur for alleged links with JeM. Saifullah's name came out from the preliminary interrogation of Nadeem.
Saifullah used social media platforms like Telegram, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp to keep in touch with individuals across the border, UP ATS informed.

According to an official release by the police, Saifullah was brought from Fatehpur to Kanpur where he was arrested by the Interrogation Field Unit, Kanpur.
Habibul admitted that he knew Nadeem and both of them were linked to the same terror network Jaish-e-Muhammad.
Habibul Islam alias Saifullah is an expert in creating Virtual IDs and he has given many Pakistani and Afghan terrorists about 50 virtual IDs.
Habibul through Telegram, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, etc was connected to handlers sitting in Pakistan and Afghanistan, the UP ATS stated.
"Habibul alias Saifullah was associated with various groups only through Virtual IDs and used to give Virtual ID to other members as well. Jihadi videos are sent to these groups. Habibul alias Saifullah was also inspiring other people to do 'jihad' by sending videos," the police statement mentioned.
A Pakistani handler of Jaish-e-Muhammad asked Saifullah to come to Pakistan for training to conduct their operation in India.
The police informed that they seized one mobile phone with SIM and one knife from Saifullah's possession.
Action will be taken following an in-depth investigation as the accused person's Indian and international terrorist links will be unearthed through detailed interrogation, the ATS stated.
Mohd Nadeem, the alleged Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist, was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police on Friday. He was reported to be in touch with Pakistani operatives since 2018 who intended to use him for carrying out attacks at several locations in the state.
The Anti Terrorist squad of UP Police had earlier claimed that the arrested terrorist had plans to kill suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma for her alleged remarks on Prophet, news agency ANI reported.
