UP CM Yogi Adityanath Reviews Mahakumbh 2025 Preparations In Prayagraj, Calls For Clean, Green And Safe Event

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath held a meeting to review preparations for the Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, emphasising the need for a grand, divine, green, clean, and safe event.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath convened a meeting with senior officials and public representatives to review the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. Emphasising the need for a divine, grand, green, clean, and safe event, CM Adityanath issued guidelines to ensure the success of the grand festival. "Mahakumbh will be grand, divine, green, clean and safe," CM Adityanath said.

During the meeting, CM Adityanath underscored the importance of completing all Maha Kumbh-related works by October. He instructed officials to expedite ongoing development projects and maintain regular inspections.

Ban single-use plastic, ensure green Maha Kumbh: CM Yogi Adityanath

The Chief Minister stressed the prohibition of single-use plastic to ensure an environmentally friendly Mahakumbh. "All personnel on duty must wear nameplates and unique codes, and their training should be completed promptly," he directed.

Following the meeting, CM Adityanath honoured martyr Chandrashekhar Azad by garlanding his statue on the Circuit House premises. He also participated in the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign by planting a Bael sapling, reflecting the ‘Ped Lagao Ped Bachao Abhiyan 2024’ initiative by Prime Minister Modi.

CM Adityanath paid a visit to the Lete Hanuman Temple at the Sangam, where he offered prayers. Concluding his visit, he blessed the newly married son and daughter-in-law of Cabinet Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi and presented them with a gift from the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme.

Kumbh Mela Officer Vijay Kiran Anand presented the current status of preparations to the Chief Minister. Subsequently, various departments submitted their progress reports. CM Adityanath reiterated the need for a grand, divine, clean, safe, and green Mahakumbh, insisting on timely and quality completion of all tasks.

Emphasising safety, CM Adityanath ordered the provision of life jackets for boatmen at the Sangam, with timely training and online rate information for purchasing these jackets. He also mandated signage in all major languages within the fair area and the replacement of hoardings with display boards in both the city and Kumbh area. 

The Chief Minister highlighted the need for better coordination and continuous communication with all stakeholders, including saints, public representatives, traders, and institutions involved in the Mahakumbh.

In the meeting, CM Adityanath instructed the establishment of a Mahila Sanrakshan Grih for destitute women near the Prayagraj airport on land reclaimed from the mafia. He also proposed self-employment opportunities for these women, following the model of Krishna Kutir in Mathura.
