Noida Pollution Today: Air Quality In Noida Turns Toxic, AQI Touches 414

On Monday morning, the Air Quality Index in Noida has reached a serious level. According to SAFAR the Air Quality Index in Noida is currently 414.

Noida Pollution Report Today: Air pollution in Delhi-NCR has become a cause of concern among people. While pollution in Delhi is continuously at a 'very poor' level, on Monday morning the Air Quality Index in Noida reached a 'critical' position. According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the Air Quality Index in Noida is currently 414. On Sunday morning, the air quality index was at 382. People are facing difficulties in breathing in such toxic air.

The overall air quality index in Delhi is 357, which falls under the 'very poor' category. Faridabad (347), Ghaziabad (344), and Gurgaon (345). According to Safar, surface air is expected to strengthen by November 23, which can scatter pollutant particles and can bring an improvement in air quality.  Winds from the northwest direction are likely to strengthen during this period, which will clear the pollution emitted locally in Delhi and it will move along the air to the southeastern region and is expected to improve air quality.

It may be recalled that pollution had spread completely in the areas of Delhi and NCR since Deepawali, out of which there seems to be no respite yet. In view of this, the ban on entry of trucks in Delhi was extended till November 26. At the same time, all offices and corporations of the Delhi government were ordered to remain closed till November 26. Schools and colleges were also closed.

AQI is considered to be 'good' between zero and 50, 'satisfactory' between 51 and 100, 'moderate' between 101 and 200, 'poor' between 201 and 300, 'very poor' between 301 and 400 and 'severe' between 401 and 500.
