UP Election: Mayawati Demands Ban On Survey Before Polls, Says She Will Write To EC
Mayawati in Lucknow Rally: Mayawati demands a ban on Opinion Polls in the wake of ABP News CVoter Survey.
UP Assembly Election 2022: BSP supremo Mayawati has taken a dig at opposition parties. At a public meeting in Lucknow on the death anniversary of BSP founder Kanshi Ram, she lashed out at the opponents. She also demanded a ban on the survey before the election. Mayawati said that when BSP government was formed in UP in 2007, we had made all-round development here on a war level for the state and the general public. The state had given the best law and order that was appreciated all over the country, but all this did not go down well with the opponents. Since then, casteist, narrow and capitalist parties have come together to stop the BSP from coming to power. Because of this, our party could not form the government in the last two assembly elections.
She also attacked the SP
Mayawati said there is one party in the state which is engaged in expanding its family by inducting selfish people from other parties into its party. During whose reign the people of the state have been particularly unhappy in terms of law and order. Don't be misled by such a party.
"Ban on electoral surveys"
Mayawati further said that the media sponsored against BSP or to harm our party shortly before the election is declared and till voting is held will also deliberately show our position as very low. The people of the party do not have to be misled by this. In this regard, she will write a letter to the Chief Election Commission asking that all agencies from voting should be banned from 6 months to voting in any state. So that the election is not affected.
Mayawati said the poll showed Mamata Banerjee's party far behind in the pre-results poll in Bengal when assembly elections were underway, but the results were reversed. Those who were dreaming of power's dream were shattered and Mamata won by huge no. of seats. That's why don't be misled by the survey.
BJP using government machinery
Mayawati further said that near the elections, the BJP's Central and state governments are using government machinery to take situation in their favour. It may be that the party can try its best to exploit this election by giving it a Hindu-Muslim cultural colour in any case when it is not going to work.
"Government harassing farmers"
Mayawati also said that the farmers across the country are still outraged over the three laws enacted by the Centre. Agitating farmers are being harassed. The Lakhimpur Kheri incident is the latest example in this case. Moreover, this party can harass the people of our party under the guise of corona rules during elections. Keeping this in mind, people have to follow the corona rules.
"Opposition's claims are baseless"
Mayawati said BJP, SP, Congress, AAP are making promises to the public for votes which are baseless. They are lack of potential. Opposition parties are going to make a little too tempting election promises in election manifestos. Mayawati further said that the biggest thrust this time when our government is formed will be to provide livelihood to the poor and unemployed youth here. This time it will be our party's main election issue. Whatever schemes of the Centre and the State are going on will not be stopped with vengeance.
