UP Cops Left Stunned After 27 Passengers Deboard An Auto In Fatehpur | WATCH

The outrageous act is not only a violation of traffic rules but could have also caused a major road accident. Police strongly reprimanded the auto driver and seized his vehicle.

New Delhi: Police officers in Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur district were left stunned after they stopped a visibly overloaded and over-speeding auto-rickshaw, eventually finding out that a total of 27 people, including the driver, were traveling in the tiny three-wheeler.

The on-duty cops operating the traffic chased down the overspeeding auto. Once the auto was stopped, the cops started deboarding the passengers after which it was shockingly discovered that 27 people, all cramped up, including the elderly and children were aboard. A video of cops counting passengers one by one while they deboard the auto has gone viral on social media.

All 27 passengers, including children and adults, were returning to their village after offering Bakrid prayers. An auto, which is meant for carrying four people including the driver, had more than twice as many people in it.

The outrageous act is not only a violation of traffic rules but could have also caused a major road accident. Police strongly reprimanded the auto driver and seized the vehicle.

According to IANS, the auto-rickshaw driver later told reporters that the family was on its way to a relative's house to celebrate Eid, and could not find another auto so he agreed to take them all.
