Suvendu Adhikari has alleged that a Palestinian flag was raised at a religious procession in Murshidabad, calling for police action against those involved.
West Bengal Leader of Opposition and senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday shared a video of a Palestinian flag purportedly being raised at a religious procession in the Murshidabad district. Asaduddin Owaisi last month concluded his oath as a member of the Lok Sabha by hailing the conflict-hit West Asian nation, with the words: "Jai Bhim, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana". His remarks were later expunged.
News agency PTI quoted a senior police officer from Murshidabad as saying that they had not received a formal complaint in the matter either. The police are, however, probing the matter.

Suvendu Adhikari's 'No More Sabka Saath...' Speech
Suvendu Adhikari uploaded the video purportedly from Murshidabad on a day when his remarks on minorities sparked a controversy. At the BJP's State Working Committee meeting, Suvendu Adhikari said: "I have talked about nationalist Muslims. You, too, have talked about 'sabka sath, sabka vikaas'. But no more. We shall stand by those who stand by us... No need for a minority front."
Suvendu Adhikari accused TMC MLA Saokat Molla of preventing Hindus in South 24 Parganas's Bhangar from voting. "Bhangar has been turned to Islamabad," he said. He also said: "Jihadis won't let me vote in the 2026 [assembly] elections because I am a Hindu." However, he later said that his remarks were misconstrued.
