The relentless efforts of Punjab Police have led to major breakthroughs in the fight against narcotics. As of March 11, law enforcement agencies have:

• Seized 76 kg of heroin, 50 kg of opium, and ₹50 lakh in cash
• Registered 1,072 FIRs under the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act
• Arrested 1,485 drug traffickers
• Confiscated 7 lakh drug tablets, 4.5 kg of narcotic powder, 1.25 kg of synthetic drugs, and 950 kg of poppy husk
• Taken action against 26 properties acquired through illegal drug trade

A Bold Vision: A Drug-Free Punjab in Three Months

Determined to eradicate the drug menace, CM Bhagwant Mann has set an ambitious three-month deadline to make Punjab drug-free. With an aggressive new strategy, the state government is not only cracking down on drug traffickers but also helping youth trapped in addiction recover and rebuild their lives.

A two-year roadmap has been implemented to tackle the crisis from both ends eliminating drug supply chains while ensuring rehabilitation and awareness programs for affected individuals.
