Threat Call To Mumbai Police Warns Of RDX-Filled Tanker, Pak Nationals Heading To Goa. Probe Launched

A threat call was received by the Mumbai Police Control Room, in which the caller stated that a tanker carrying RDX and two Pakistani nationals was travelling from Mumbai to Goa.

The Mumbai Police Control Room on Sunday (July 23) received a threat call from an individual identifying himself as "Pandey," who claimed that a tanker loaded with RDX and two Pakistani nationals was en route from Mumbai to Goa. In response to the call, the authorities have launched an investigation into the matter to ascertain the credibility of the threat. The police are taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of the region, and further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.

The threat call came nearly a week after Mumbai police received another threat, the second in two days, about a bomb planted in the city, according to reports that cited police officials.

On Tuesday, an unidentified individual made a threatening phone call to the governments of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Central government. The caller mentioned the presence of cartridges and AK-47s in specific locations, indicating the possibility of a 26/11-style attack in Mumbai.

According to officials, Mumbai Police is actively searching for the person responsible for the call, and a case has been registered against the unknown individual at Worli Police Station under section 509 (2) of the IPC, News 18 reported. 

On July 12, a similar call was discovered to be a hoax.

An FIR was filed against unidentified individuals in connection with a message received that warned of a terror attack in the city if Pakistani woman Seema Haider did not return to her home country.

"If Seema Haider does not return, India will be destroyed," the caller said in Urdu. The caller stated that if the attack occurs, the Uttar Pradesh government will be held accountable.

Seema Haider, a Pakistani woman, was arrested earlier this month in Greater Noida for illegally entering India and staying without valid documents. She allegedly travelled to India with her four children to be with her lover, Sachin Meena, whom she met through the gaming app, PUBG.
