Bihar Boy, 12, Thrashed & Tied To Train Tracks On Theft Suspicion

Begusarai boy allegedly beaten up by a group of men before being taken to train tracks near Lakhminia Railway Station. Video of the incident has gone viral.

A minor boy in Bihar’s Begusarai was allegedly tied to train tracks after being thrashed on suspicion of theft, a viral video has shown.

According to an NDTV report, in the video [unverified by ABP News], the boy is purportedly seen tied to train tracks with a man holding a stick towering over him. The 12-year-old, suspected of having stolen a few items from a shop, was allegedly beaten up by a group of men before being taken to train tracks near Lakhminia Railway Station. The beating continued thereafter, until the police rescued the minor. Three men have been arrested over the incident.

The boy’s father said the men’s theft claims were false, adding that they ganged up on the boy, beat him up, and then tied him to the tracks. When questioned who the attackers were, he said he “couldn’t answer that”.

The NDTV report identified the arrested accused as Roshan Kumar, Jay Jay Ram Chaudhary, and Kahul Kumar.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Neha Kumar said the child was rescued by the police who arrived at the scene. The DSP added that the men who thrashed the boy were arrested, as reported by NDTV.
