Women's World Cup: Mitchell Starc Cheers For Wife Alyssa Healy As She Hits Ton In Final
As Alyssa Healy celebrated her hundred against England, a proud and happy Mitchell Starc was spotted cheering for her wife from the stands.
New Delhi: Australia's star cricketer Alyssa Healy, who opened the innings for her team, shattered many records by scoring an unforgettable ton (170 runs off 138 balls) in the final of the ICC Women's World Cup 2022 at the Hagley Oval ground in Christchurch on Sunday.
Healy completed her second consecutive ODI ton in Women's World Cup with help of 13 fours in 100 balls. The special thing about her hundred was that she attained this feat in presence of her husband Mitchell Starc. The star Aussie pace bowler reached Christchurch to watch the final match of the ICC Women's World Cup 2022 between England and Australia.

As Healy celebrated her hundred against England, Mitchell Starc was spotted cheering for her wife from the stands. A visibly happy and proud Starc lauded Healy as she scripted history at the iconic Oval cricket stadium.

Healy played a record-breaking unbeaten innings of 170 runs off 138 balls with 26 fours in the summit clash against England. This is Healy's fifth ODI century and her second consecutive century in this tournament. She had earlier scored a century (129 runs in 107 balls) against West Indies in the semi-finals. Healy has now become the first woman cricketer in the world to score 500 or more runs in a single World Cup edition.
