New Delhi: Women’s cricket icon in India, Mithali Raj, has shared a priceless throwback picture on Twitter. The photo Mithali shared is from her childhood days and she looks like a super adorable doll in it. Taking to the social media platform, she captioned the photo: 'Then and now, always a poser.' Few days back, Mithali also shared a picture with her brother on Instagram and wrote, “From the treasure trove , bhaiya helping me balance while my feet are planted in the sinking sand . The story hasn’t changed a bit . Always like a rock , my supportive big brother. She hashtagged words like ‘priceless’, ‘throwbacksunday’.
Last year, Mithali Raj joined Sachin Tendulkar, Sanath Jayasuriya, Javed Miandad in the list for longest ODI career after completing 20 years of international cricket on 9th October. The mega cricketing icon also became the first female player to play for her country for over two decades. Mithali, who made her debut as a 16-year old in 1999, holds the record for playing the most number of ODIs in women’s cricket. The 37-year-old is also the highest run-getter in women’s cricket and the only woman cricketer to surpass 6000 runs in One Day International’s.
