Sushil Kumar Got 'Emotional' As He Watched Ravi Dahiya's Gold Medal Bout From Tihar Jail

New Delhi: Ravi Dahiya of India may have lost in the final match in Tokyo Olympics but he made history by winning a silver medal. Post his loss, Sushil Kumar, who was lodged in Delhi's Tihar Jail, was also watching this match and the rest of the prisoners in the jail were watching along with him.
According to Tihar Jail sources, Sushil Kumar became emotional when Ravi Dahiya lost during this period. Tears started coming from his eyes.

Let us tell you that the facility of watching TV to the prisoners in the open area in Tihar Jail has been provided by the jail administration. In this open area, Sushil Kumar was watching Ravi Dahiya's match with other prisoners. Notably, under the supervision of Sushil Kumar at Chhatrasal Stadium, Ravi Dahiya had learned many tricks of wrestling. According to jail sources, Sushil Kumar had been sitting in front of the TV since afternoon.
Let us tell you that Ravi Dahiya reached the final of 57 kg freestyle category wrestling in the Tokyo Olympics. However, he missed out on winning the gold. Ravi Dahiya won a silver medal as he lost the Final of 57 kg freestyle category 7-4 against the Russian Olympic Committee's Zaur Uguev in Tokyo Olympic Games 2020.
Sushil Kumar was arrested in Delhi in connection with a brawl at Chhatrasal Stadium which had led to the death of former international wrestler Sagar Rana. According to reports, the absconding wrestler was arrested by a team of Delhi Police from the Mundka area of Delhi.
