Los Angeles Olympics 2028: The Paris Olympics 2024 are done and dusted. The biggest sports tournament in the world is now over and the fans will now have to wait for the next four years for the Olympic Games to begin again. The Paris OIympics wrapped up on Sunday night with a magnificient closing ceremony at the Stade de France stadium in the French capital.
The next edition of the quadrennial event is all set to take place in Los Angeles in the year 2028. This will be the first time that the Olympic Games will be heading to the United States in over three decades and it won't be a grand new host city with the Olympic Games having already been hosted in Los Angeles twice before in 1932 and 1984.

Los Angeles Olympics 2028- Date
Los Angeles Olympics 2028 will begin on July 14. The officially closing ceremony of what will be the 34th edition of the Olympic Games is currently scheduled to be held on July 30. As far as the Paralympic Games are concerned, the 2028 edition of the Paralympics will get underway on August 15 with the competition concluding on August 27.
Los Angeles Olympics 2028- New Sports
As far as Los Angeles Olympics are concerned, they will feature several new sports as well as a few sports that have not been part of the Olympic Games for quite some time now. For instance, the men's and women's flag football will be featuring in the Los Angeles Olympic Games for the first time ever. However, it is not clear whether the National Football League (NFL) players will make it to USA's men's flag football team.
Meanwhile, squash will be an Olympic sport in 2028. It had made previous attempts to enter the Olympic Games on three occasions but unsuccessfully. But this time around it has managed to break through the door to the Olympics. The big news though is that cricket will be making its debut in Los Angeles. On the other hand, Breaking which made its debut in Paris Olympics 2024 won't be returning to Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Olympics 2028- Venue
The track and field events at the Los Angeles Olympic Games is scheduled to be held at the the Los Angeles Coliseum. It was the same venue which had hosted these events in 1932 and 1984. Inglewood's SoFi Stadium will host swimming events. Exposition Park, near the Coliseum, however, will host diving. Crypto.com Arena will host gymnastics instead of basketball. Inglewood Intuit Dome will host the basketball matches.
