India wrestling at Paris Olympics 2024: The countdown to the Paris Olympics 2024 continues, with the event starting on July 26th. While everyone's eyes are on India's star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, there is also significant attention on Indian wrestlers. India has high expectations from its wrestling contingent.

India has a glorious history in wrestling at the Olympics. Wrestler KD Jadhav won independent India's first individual medal at the 1952 Helsinki Games.

In the last four Olympics, India has consistently won at least one medal in wrestling. To date, India has secured a total of seven Olympic medals in wrestling.

From India, six wrestlers will participate in the 2024 Olympics. This includes five female and one male athlete. The names of these six wrestlers are Aman Sehrawat, Antim Pangal, Vinesh Phogat, Anshu Malik, Nisha Dahiya, and Ritika Hooda.

For Men's Greco-Roman, wrestling competitions will be held in 60 kg, 67 kg, 77 kg, 87 kg, 97 kg, and 130 kg weight classes.

For Men's freestyle category, wrestling competitions will be held in 57 kg, 65 kg, 74 kg, 86 kg, 97 kg, and 125 kg weight classes.

For Women’s Freestyle category, wrestling competitions will be held in 50 kg, 53 kg, 57 kg, 62 kg, 68 kg, and 76 kg weight classes.
