National Sports Day 2022: Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, regarded as one the best batters to have ever played the game of cricket, posted a special video for his fans on the occasion of National Sports Day 2022. The 'Master Blaster' can be seen playing some classy strokes at his vintage best in the video tweeted by him to celebrate the occasion.

"It's #NationalSportsDay and how could I not play the sport I love and dedicated my life to. Share your pictures/videos playing your favourite sport. #SportPlayingNation," Tendulkar captioned his video on Twitter.

Earlier in the day, Tendulkar had wished the nation on National Sports Day. "Age is no bar to transform into a #SportPlayingNation! On #NationalSportsDay let’s all pick up any sport and play it regularly. Let’s be a fitter nation," wrote Tendulkar on the micro-blogging site.

India celebrates National Sports Day on August 29 to honour the birth anniversary of the hockey legend, Major Dhyan Chand. The goal of the day is to raise awareness of the virtues of sports, such as discipline, perseverance, sportsmanship, and teamwork, as well as to encourage the general public to engage in sports.
