Salt-Kohli Provide Explosive Start

RCB got off to a flying start, courtesy of an aggressive partnership between Phil Salt and Virat Kohli. The duo added 61 runs in just 3.5 overs before Salt was run out for a quickfire 37 off 17 balls. Soon after, RCB suffered a mini-collapse. Devdutt Padikkal was dismissed by Mukesh Kumar for just 1, and Kohli departed for 22 (14 balls), falling to Vipraaj Nigam. Liam Livingstone was run out shortly after for 4, putting RCB on the back foot.

Kuldeep Strikes Twice, But David Lifts RCB at the End

The middle order struggled to build momentum. Kuldeep Yadav dismissed both Jitesh Sharma (3 off 11) and Rajat Patidar (25 off 23), while Krunal Pandya chipped in with 18 runs. However, it was Tim David who rescued RCB’s innings in the death overs. He smashed an unbeaten 37 off 20 balls, including 2 fours and 4 sixes, helping RCB reach a competitive 163.
