'Its Going To Be A Double-Edged Sword': Robin Uthappa On RCB Vs CSK IPL 2021 Match

IPL 2021: RCB is coming off a humiliating nine-wicket loss against KKR, but Uthappa was weary of a comeback. He said, "You cannot write off a team like that."

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is always an eventful game. Cricket fans from all over look forward to this fixture, especially because of the presence of two heavy-weights of Indian cricket in it: MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.

There are expectations from fans of both teams as RCB and CSK have been performing well this season. Both teams are in contention for the playoffs this season. Robin Uthappa, CSK's batsman has said that the contest between the two heavy-weights will be like a "double-edged sword". Uthappa said this in a video released by CSK on Twitter.

Uthappa said, "You either go into a hole or say ‘Hey, we’ve got nothing to lose. Let’s just go out there and enjoy ourselves and put on our best performance.’ It’s always going to be a double-edged sword when you face a team like that."

RCB is coming off a humiliating nine-wicket loss against KKR, but Uthappa was weary of a comeback. He said, "You cannot write off a team like that. We know it is going to be a high-scoring game. I think, we are going to be ready for it and pull our socks up and see what happens."

"They’re a really good side. They are a formidable side with some formidable greats within that side. Sharjah, being a small ground, it’s going to be a high-scoring game, so it could be a nail-biter again," Uthappa added.

Uthappa said how there will be some exciting match-ups in the match. "Rutu (Ruturaj) vs Siraj would be great, Rutu vs Jamieson would be another match-up that would be good to watch," he said.

"MS vs Chahal and maybe even the death bowlers, some interesting match-ups," Uthappa added.
