IPL 2025: Chennai Super Kings return to winning ways in IPL 2025, as they register a nail-biting 5-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants on Monday, April 14. With the win, CSK have ended their 5-match winless run, but are still languishing at the bottom of the table due to a poor Net Run Rate.

Shivam Dube and MS Dhoni guided their side home with a stellar 6th-wicket partnership, and the former was delighted with the win.

"This means a lot. Losing 5 in a row, that's not CSK. I have played for 3 years for CSK. Our bowlers did well. I thought I will bat through tonight and finish the game. Yeah, definitely. That was the thought. Jadeja and Vijay got out. I decided to take the game deep. That was the plan from my side," said Shivam Dube.

"Yes, definitely. It is not about mindset. It is about what's going on at that time. We were losing wickets in the middle. I decided not take on the bowlers but take the game deep," said the CSK player.

"[On batting with Dhoni] I think, when he came and started smashing the bowlers, it became easier for me. I decided I will go for it only if the ball is in my area. If it is not there, I won't try extra hard. Their bowlers executed their plans well," said the Indian all-rounder.

"[On facing MI in the next game] We count all the positives from this game. This is what we do to prepare ourselves against one of the best franchises in this league," he added.
