In Match 51 of IPL 2025 held on May 2, Gujarat Titans delivered a remarkable performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad, securing a 38-run win. The win not only boosted GT's playoff hopes but also caused a major shake-up in the points table.

With this win, Gujarat moved to the second position with 14 points from 11 matches (7 wins, 4 losses), overtaking Royal Challengers Bangalore. Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad have dropped to 9th place with just 6 points. Their playoff chances are now virtually over.
