Walking in when Team India was in a critical situation, the 21-year-old stitched a match-defining 127-run partnership with Washington Sundar and also brought up his maiden Test century. Nitish achieved this landmark in 171 balls, laced with 10 fours and a six, giving India a fighting chance in IND vs AUS 4th Test match.

Nitish Kumar Reddy attained a historic milestone in the ongoing IND vs AUS Border-Gavaskar Test series. He has become the leading six-hitter of IND vs AUS Test series and matched the record for most sixes hit by a visiting batter in a Test series on Australian soil.

Reddy, who still remains unbeaten and will bat on Day 4 of IND vs AUS 4th Test in Melbourne, has smashed 8 sixes so far, equaling the record set by England’s Michael Vaughan during 2002-03 Ashes series and West Indies' Chris Gayle in 2009-10 series against Australia.
