Gayle's remarkable knock included 13 boundaries and an astounding 17 sixes, showcasing his unparalleled batting skills. Chennai Super Kings (CSK), under the leadership of legend MS Dhoni, stand as one of the powerhouses in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, consistently displaying their dominance in T20 cricket. CSK's track record speaks volumes: out of 14 IPL seasons, they have secured playoffs spots an impressive 12 times and have contested in a record 10 finals. Across 16 IPL seasons, Chennai Super Kings have lifted the IPL trophy on five occasions. Mumbai Indians closely follow CSK with playoff appearances secured 10 times.

Indian batting legend Virat Kohli, in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016, accumulated a staggering 973 runs in 16 IPL matches. His remarkable season for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) included an impressive tally of 4 centuries and 7 half-centuries. 

Most matches as captain in IPL 

With a remarkable 226 matches under his belt, Mahendra Singh Dhoni stands tall as the captain with the most appearances in IPL history. Leading Chennai Super Kings since the inception of the league in 2008, Dhoni has steered the team through a 16-year journey, emerging victorious in 133 matches. Following closely behind is Rohit Sharma, who has captained in 158 IPL matches to date, solidifying his position as one of the league's most influential leaders.

Longest partnership for any wicket

In 2016, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) stars Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers showcased exceptional partnership resilience by amassing a record-breaking 229-run stand for the second wicket against Gujarat Lions.
