IPL 2021, KKR Vs MI: Rohit Sharma’s Superb Record Against Kolkata Knight Riders

IPL 2021: Rohit Sharma is just 61 runs away from scoring one thousand runs against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL cricket. His record against KKR is fantastic, to say the least. KKR and Eden Gardens has been Rohit’s favorite ground, of sorts. Rohit’s highest score of 109 also came against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Sharma has 939 runs in 27 matches against KKR. To score so many runs against one opposition is not an easy task, but Sharma has been a constant over the years in the IPL. Although, Rohit Sharma’s form as a Deccan Chargers player for the first three seasons was pretty ordinary. He couldn’t score a half-century against the KKR, but as soon as he came to MI in 2011, he has performed very well against KKR.

Mumbai Indians’ head-to-head record against KKR is also very good. Mumbai has 21-6 in their favor. But Rohit Sharma’s good form against Kolkata would be encouraging for the prospects of Mumbai Indians in the match today.

Rohit Sharma has played well even in the recent past against the Kolkata Knight Riders. He has scored 55*, 80 and 35 in the last three matches against KKR.

MI will go head to head for the 28^th time in the IPL against Mumbai Indians at the Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The match-5 of the IPL will begin at the usual timing of 7:20 pm IST on Tuesday, 13 April, 2021. Mumbai Indians will play this match in the backdrop of a loss against RCB.
