Sunrisers Hyderabad's bowling unit came to the party at Dubai International Stadium to restrict Rajasthan Royals to a below par 154-run total. Put into bat first by SRH skipper David Warner, Robin Uthappa and Ben Stokes got Rajasthan Royals to a flier with a flurry of boundaries in the powerplay. Against the run of play, Uttappa was the first to depart courtesy a run out effected by SRH seam bowler Jason Holder. Ben Stokes then combined well with Sanju Samson to stitch a fifty run partnership for the second wicket. Jason Holder was again in action as he dealt a major blow by clean bowling Sanju Samson for 36. Leg spinner Rashid Khan struck yet another massive blow to the 'Royals' when he cartwheeled Ben Stokes' stumps to have RR three down. Power hitter Jos Buttler did not last long as he was sent back to the pavilion after scooping a catch to Shahbaz Nadeem off the bowling of Vijay Shankar. Just as when Riyan Parag and Steve Smith looked to rebuild the RR innings, Jason Holder pegged the 'Pink Army' back by dismissing both the RR skipper and the promising youngster from Assam. Jofra Archer provided the late flourish by hitting a few lusty blows to propel Rajasthan Royal to 154-run total. While SRH has come into the match after their frustrating loss to Kolkata Knight Riders in the Super Over, RR beat Chennai Super Kings in their previous game by seven wickets.
