Punjab has attained victory in the last three matches in a row and it is necessary for the red brigade to continue their winning streak to make it to the playoffs. The situation with the Sunrisers Hyderabad is also similar to Punjab. They too are desperate for a win tonight to keep the IPL 2020 playoffs hopes alive.

However, players getting injured is a problem for Hyderabad. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is already out due to injury while Kane Williamson did not play in the last match due to an injury.

This spectacular performance by Shankar was a surprise for many because after facing continuous failure, no one expected such a performance for him. Shankar scored an unbeaten 52 against Rajasthan and shared a crucial 140-run partnership with Manish Pandey.

On the other hand, for Kings XI Punjab, Nicholas Pooran has been batting brilliantly in the last few matches, which means that the team has one more player to support in-form players like captain Lokesh Rahul, Mayank Agarwal and Chris Gayle. But, apart from these four top-order star batters, no other batsman in Punjab has managed to make valuable contributions with their bat.

When it comes to bowlers, Punjab has lethal in-form paceman Mohammed Shami to lead the attack. Sensational young talent Arshdeep has caught everyone's attention with his fast bowling. Apart from these two, Jimmy Neesham gives the team a good option as an all-rounder. Ravi Bishnoi and Murugan Ashwin are wicket-takers in the spin department of the team.
