Rajasthan Wins Toss, Asks Delhi To Bat First

Delhi Capitals will be eager to bounce back after a disappointing loss in their previous home game. Before that, the Capitals were in fine form, riding a four-match winning streak.

The 32nd match of IPL 2025 is set to be an exciting contest between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals, taking place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Delhi Capitals will be eager to bounce back after a disappointing loss in their previous home game. Before that, the Capitals were in fine form, riding a four-match winning streak. Rajasthan have found themselves in a tough spot this season, with just 2 wins from 6 matches. A win over RR today could take Delhi straight to the number one position on the points table.

When it comes to head-to-head record, there's little separating the two sides. In 29 IPL encounters, Rajasthan Royals have won 15 matches, while Delhi Capitals have claimed 14 wins. The rivalry has remained evenly poised.

When it comes to matches played in Delhi, the home side enjoys a clear edge. Out of 9 games between the two at this venue, Delhi has won 6, whereas Rajasthan has managed to win just 3. This could give Delhi a psychological boost heading into the clash.

DC vs RR Toss Update

Rajasthan Royals have won the toss and have opted to field.

What captains said...

DC captain Axar Patel: Would have bowled as well. There will be dew perhaps in the second innings, but now we are ready to bat first and put up a big score. Last game also we did well chasing, just a matter of a couple of overs here and there going in our favour. Need to look past the last game, but it is a learning experience. We discussed in the team meetings how we could have finished the game, we perhaps got too casual in the middle phase. Same team for us as well.

RR skipper Sanju Samson: We'll bowl first, looks like a good wicket. Gets better in the second half. The results and match conditions have been different, but we are still early in the tournament so we want to bowl first and get an advantage. It is a competitive league, so we need to look past results sometimes. We decided as a team we need to put in a good performance whatever happens. Same team.
