Virat Kohli Becomes First & Only Asian To Have 150 Million Followers On Instagram
Virat Kohli had earlier attained the milestone of becoming the first Asian to have 75 million followers on Instagram. Apart from Instagram, Kohli enjoys a huge fan-following on Facebook and Twitter.
New Delhi: Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli on Friday became the first Indian as well as first Asian to have 150 million followers on Instagram. On the photo-blogging platform, when it comes to sports personalities, the Indian captain is at fourth place in terms of followers. Cristiano Ronaldo (237 million followers), who recently made headlines after re-signing with Manchester United, tops the list of sporst personalities with most followers on Instagram, followed by legendary forward Lionel Messi with 260 million followers and Neymar (150 million followers) in third place.
Kohli had earlier attained the milestone of becoming the first Asian to have 75 million followers on Instagram. Apart from Instagram, Kohli enjoys a huge fan-following on popular social media platforms Facebook and Twitter.
On Twitter, Virat has 43.4 million followers and on Facebook the Indian skipper has over 48 million followers. Recently, Kohli had surpassed Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar to retain the number one spot in India's richest celeb list.
Virat Kohli, with a brand value of $237.7 million, had reportedly topped India's richest celebrity list, as per Celebrity Brand Valuation Study 2020 by Duff & Phelps. The star batsman reportedly charges five crore rupees for every post. In comparison, one of the world's most decorated and popular sports personalities, Cristiano Ronaldo charges Rs 11.72 crore for every sponsored post on Instagram.
