The duo has become highly valauble and fans around the world are amazed and thrilled to see the rise of the legendary La Masia again, as the academy is arguably the greatest footballing academy ever seen, with the likes of Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Carles Puyol, Xavi Hernandez and many many legends coming out of it.
Deco also dropped a bombshell regarding the managerial situation at the club, as the Portuguese hinted at a U-turn from Xavi might be on the cards.
“I might have been asked more than 10 times in interviews if Xavi is really leaving or not at the end of the season. We are still alive in La Liga and the Champions League, we have targets to achieve, so we can’t be asking the same question all day. Xavi still tells us that his decision to leave has not changed," said Deco, in a coversation with Spanish radio network Cadena SER, as reported by The Athletic.
If eventually something changes, it should be him who tells us. Then if Xavi wants to continue in charge of the club, we’d have to talk, understand why he wants to stay and the reasons to make that decision,” he added.
