Honda Elevate Black Edition First Look: More Than Just A Colour Change?

The latest one is the Elevate Signature Black Edition from Honda which gets numerous cosmetic tweaks inside out while there is also a Signature Black Edition

Black has been used extensively by carmakers who have SUVs since specialised black editions have proven to be quite popular.

The latest one is the Elevate Signature Black Edition from Honda which gets numerous cosmetic tweaks inside out while there is also a Signature Black Edition.

Chief of which, the Elevate Signature Black Edition has an all new black colour plus dark alloy wheels too.

Elsewhere, the Elevate Black comes with a darkened grille, headlamps with a smoked effect plus of course, Signature Black Edition badges.

It comes with the top-end ZX variant with both manual as well as CVT options.

Inside, the Elevate Black Edition comes with black leatherette seats with black thread stitch along with the interior having some red elements along with some ambient lighting

The standard Black Edition meanwhile gets chrome and silver accents on the grille and the same black interior minus the ambient lighting.

The Black edition starts at Rs 15.51 lakh while the top-end Signature Black edition starts at Rs 15.71 lakh.

Engine wise, the same 1.5l NA petrol continues to be available with the Elevate and no changes are seen there. The gearbox options include a manual and a CVT automatic too.

These black themed editions have been successful in India and also giving a boost to the SUV sales since Black is a desired option which suits SUVs.

There have been other black themed SUVs being launched in the Indian market with the Elevate being the latest car to follow this trend.

In India, the Elevate competes with the various compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos and more.
