World Cup Final: Dhol Beats To Havans, Cricket Fever Grips Nation Ahead Of India's Final Test. Watch

Cricket fans were seen offering prayers in various parts of the country as enthusiasm grips the nation ahead of India's match with Australia in the World Cup finals.

The D-day for cricket fans in the country has arrived as India will take on Australia in the World Cup finals on Sunday evening at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi stadium. From havans to dhols, fans are devising their own ways to support the team blue to lift up this year's trophy. 

Priests at Ujjain Mahakal temple in Madhya Pradesh carried out Bhasma Aarti, parying for India's victory. 

"...Today, we have offered prayers for the World Cup final match against Australia. We want India to become a Vishwaguru in every field, including the field of sports. We hope that India wins the final match today," temple priest Mahesh Sharma told ANI.

Cricket fans from lengths and breadths of the country are cheering on for Indian cricket team as special prayers were offered at Madurai Ganesha temple in Tamil Nadu while fans in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj also held prayers for the team blue boys. 

In Maharashtra's Nagpur, members of Shivadnya Pratishthan were seen playing the traditional Maharashtrian Dhol in a syncronising beat, reverberating the atmosphere and setting the mood ahead of the final clash.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will join the fans in supprorting team India as he would visit the stadium and watch the match live in Ahmedabad with Australian Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles, said Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.

"Galaxy of dignitaries including Hon’ble PM of India Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Deputy PM of Australia Shri Richard Marles will grace the occasion," he said in a post on X.
