According to a PTI report, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) might play their home games outside Eden Gardens this season. The under-construction stadium in Narsinghgarh, on the outskirts of Agartala, Tripura, is reportedly being considered as a potential second home ground for the franchise.

Subrata Dey, secretary of Tripura Cricket Association (TCA), shared that IPL chairman Arun Dhumal has indicated that Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) could play at the new stadium in Narsinghgarh, Tripura, if it is completed by February 2025. Dhumal mentioned that if the project is finished on time, KKR or any other team could potentially use this stadium as their home ground for Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Eden Gardens is slated for renovations in preparation for ICC Men's 2026 T20 World Cup. The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) plans to construct two new dressing rooms in front of Dr. BC Roy Club House and enhance the stadium's seating capacity. The project is expected to be completed by December 2025.
