'West Indies A' Receive Absurd Welcome, Self-Load Their Luggage Ahead Of T20 Series Against Nepal — WATCH

In a bizarre series of events, the travelling West Indies A team received an absurd welcome in Nepal, as they were spotted loading their luggage themselves in a small vehicle. WATCH.

West Indies A Vs Nepal T20 Series: The West Indies A team have travelled to Nepal to play a five-match T20 series, as the sides are gaining much needed practice ahead of the hectic T20-packed cricketing action in 2024. West Indies and United States of America are co-hosts of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and the former is aiming to provide game time to their players who are currently not participating in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.

However, a hilarious clip is circulating all over the internet in concern with the upcoming series, as West Indies A team arrived in Nepal on Thursday, April 25, but received an absurd welcome, as there was no sort of special welcome for the visitors. Also, what grabbed the eyeballs of the viewers is the fact that the Island nation players were seen self-loading their luggage in a small tempo.

The clip was shared on 'X' (formerly Twitter) by a user names Nibraz Ramzan.

The more hilarious this incident seems and sounds, the more concerning it is about the state of board and cricket in the country, as the lack of personnel to even receive the visiting players says enough about the despair state of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).

Nepal's Dismal 2024 Cricketing Season In A Nutshell

Nepal has shown immense promise from past couple of years and 2023 came in as a big year for the Asian country. But 2024 has not lived up to the expectations, as Nepal have underperformed when it has mattered the most. Leaving aisde their ODI series whitewash of Canada, the nation has performed extremely bad in the Cricket World Cup League 2 2023-27, as they have won a solitary match and lost 3 matches.

Even in the T20I Tri-Series, the nation fell short against Netherlands in the final, and were humiliated by Hong Kong in their only T20 fixture, followed by another humiliation coming at the hands of Papua New Guinea.
