Virat Kohli Leaves For T20 World Cup 2024: Virat Kohli leaves for the USA for the T20 World Cup 2024 but his participation in India's warm-up game against Bangladesh remains doubtful.

Virat Kohli Leaves For T20 World Cup 2024: Virat Kohli, team India star batter, finally left India for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, set to take place in the United States of America and the Caribbean Islands from June 2 (as per the Indian Standard Time). He is the last person amongst the Indian contingent to leave for the USA. He was spotted at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport on May 30 (Thursday). The former Indian captain was not included in either the first or second group of players that left for New York for the T20 World Cup.

The 2024 T20 World Cup will start on June 2, with the Indian cricket team beginning their campaign on June 5 against Ireland. They will then face the arch-rivals Pakistan, in a highly anticipated match in New York on June 9.

A video of Virat Kohli moments before departing for New York has gone viral. In the video he can be seen at the Mumbai airport, where paparazzi wish him luck for the upcoming marquee event. Kohli posed for photos and signed a few autographs for the kids waiting for him at the terminal.

Kohli Doubtful For India vs Bangladesh T20 World Cup 2024 Warm-Up Match

India are also scheduled to play a warm-up game against Bangladesh on June 1, for which Virat Kohli seems doubtful because of his late departure for the USA. Kohli was not part of the first batch of players that left for the USA while skipper Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid left for the States. However, after being eliminated in the playoff stage, Kohli took some time off and delayed his departure for America.

Kohli had an incredible IPL 2024 season, earning the Orange Cap with 714 runs in 15 matches. Despite being in stupendous form with his batting, his team Royal Challengers Bengaluru could not make it past the Eliminator as they were knocked out by Rajasthan Royals.
