India tour of Australia: Virat Kohli has been put up in a separate penthouse in the hotel where Team India are staying for their mandatory two-week quarantine in Sydney. Take a sneak peek into the lavish facilities of Kohli's suite
Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is currently in Sydney for the upcoming cricket tournament. As the Team India’s tour of Australia starts with a three-match ODI series from November 27 The Indian team currently undergoing quarantine at the Sydney Olympic Park’s Pullman Hotel.
Virat Kohli is staying in a royal suite in the Pulman hotel with facilities one can only dream of. Team India Captain Virat Kohli suite is of around 80 square meter which is so spacious that one can even jog inside the room. Virat Kohli's suite has a smart TV, a working desk, marble bathroom with a specially designed bathtub and a minibar which is generally found in only 7 of the star hotel suites.
Apart from this, Captain Virat Kohli's suite has massive windows which gives him a splendid view of the outstanding skyline of Sydney. Virat's suite also includes a working desk and a separate lounge area. This is the lavish suite in which Virat Kohli is staying and the entire Indian team is residing in the same Olympic Park's Pullman Hotel.
This suite is also known as Brad Fittler's suite as the suite is reserved for the renowned Australian Rugby player whenever he puts up there.
The Indian team is in a Bio Bubble in the hotel and after the quarantine ends the team will start practising in the stadium which is just five mins away from the Olympic Park’s Pullman Hotel. Team India also loves to visit the Sydney Harbour, which is few km away from the hotel and is a 20 min taxi ride for people living in that area.
The New South Wales government has also permitted Kohli & Co to train during the quarantine period and their sessions are being conducted at the Blacktown International Sports Park, which has been turned into a bio-secure venue.
Kohli won't be with the Indian team for the full duration of the tour. The dad-to-be will return home after the first start in Adelaide to be with his pregnant wife Anushka Sharma in Mumbai.
The white ball games starting from November 27 will be played in two cities of Sydney and Canberra.
The Indian cricketers will wear the first white-ball retro jersey during the tour as Kohli and his player will sport navy blue jersey with multi-coloured shoulder stripes.
That was India’s 1992 World Cup jersey and the new kit sponsors MPL are set to bring the retro feel.
