USA vs PAK Highlights: The United States, making their debut in T20 World Cup 2024, handed a defeat to former champions and 2022 finalists Pakistan to taste their second win in the competition.
USA vs PAK Highlights: For fans beginning to think that the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 will be without its share of drama and excitement, the 11th match of the tournament came as mouth-shutting reply. Co-hosts United States of America (USA), playing their first-ever T20 World Cup, produced the first of this edition and arguably one of the biggest upsets in the history of the tournament, to beat 2009 champions and 2022 finalists Pakistan in a super-over thriller.
Pakistan batted first at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas and posted 159/7 in their 20 overs, with captain Babar Azam (44 off 43) and Shadab Khan (40 off 25) top-scoring in the Pakistan innings. In response, USA left themselves 15 to get off the final over but Aaron Jones and Nitish Kumar scored 14 off Haris Rauf to get to the Super Over.

Mohammad Amir Struggles Against Harmeet Singh In Super Over
In the Super Over, USA decided to send Harmeet Singh along with Aaron Jones. While the home team only managed one boundary off the 6 balls in the one-over eliminator, Pakistan's Mohammad Amir, who was trusted with the Super Over, struggled with his line against the left-handed Harmeet Singh and gave away 7 wides which meant USA finished with 18/1, with the wicket falling off a run out off the last ball.

In response, Saurabh Netravalkar kept Pakistan down to 13/1 to ensure a victory for USA. Iftikhar Ahmed and Fakhar Zaman opened for Pakistan and Shadab Khan replaced Iftikhar after he fell for 4 off 3 but they could not save tha game for Pakistan.
Monank Patel Adjudged Player Of The Match
It was USA's Monank Patel who was adjudged the Player Of the Match for his 50 off 38 as his effort helped USA level the scores in the first place. Nosthush Kenjige (3/30 off his 4 overs) and Saurabh Netravalkar (2/18 off his 4 overs, in addition to his Super Over effort) were the other star performers for USA.

Pakistan were sloppy on the field which cost them the game. They will India next in a marquee encounter on June 9 in New York. USA, meanwhile, will face India on June 12.
