U-19 Cricket World Cup: Tamil Nadu's Nivethan Radhakrishnan has secured a place in the Australian squad for next year's Under-19 Cricket World Cup in the West Indies.
U-19 Cricket World Cup: An Indian-origin player has also been given a place in the 15-member Australian squad announced for the Under-19 World Cup (U-19 Cricket World Cup) scheduled in West Indies. This player is Nivethan Radhakrishnan. Radhakrishnan has played in the Tamil Nadu Premier League and has been bowling as a net bowler for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League.
19-year-old Radhakrishnan's family moved to Sydney from Tamil Nadu in 2013. He has also represented Australia at the Under-16 level. In the same year, he has also started playing first-class cricket for Tasmania. Nivethan Radhakrishnan is the top-order batsman of the reverse hand. At the same time, he can bowl with both arms. It was Radhakrishnan's father Anbu Selvan who encouraged him to bowl. Initially, Nivethan was a fast bowler but later started with spin bowling.

The Under-19 World Cup will be held in the West Indies in January 2022. The Australian team has been given a place in Group D in the World Cup along with host West Indies, Scotland, and Sri Lanka.
